Filipino rock icon Bamboo will round off his 2016 World Tour with a show in Doha on October 29 just days after playing several of the most iconic concert venues in the UK and Ireland.
A music icon in his homeland for more than 20 years, the 38 year-old will play a celebratory end-of-tour show showcasing his classic hits as well as songs from his second solo album ‘Bless This Mess.’
“I’m looking forward to bring the tour to a close in Doha as I always get great support from the fans in the Gulf,” said the singer who first found fame in the mid-1990s as lead singer of ‘Rivermaya’ before going on to front his own eponymous band ‘Bamboo’.
“Working so far from home can be tough so for one night I’m going to take those guys back home and give them a taste of the music they grew up with as well as tunes from my latest solo album.”
Fresh from recording another series of the hugely popular Filipino TV show ‘The Voice Kids’, Bamboo will add another chapter to his incredible success story by performing at a selection of the UK and Ireland’s most notable venues on a tour produced and promoted by Dubai-based Spicy Lemon.
After shows in Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Dublin and Dubai, Bamboo and his band will bring the curtain down on the tour with the Doha show.
“We’ll feature a lot of my new solo songs as well as many of the classics that prove popular every time we go on an international tour,” he added.
